Before anyone can be accepted as a member of the Fire Company, license and arson background checks must be made.

In the future, retired members of the former Fly Creek Fire Department will be invited to all special events held by the new Fly Creek Fire Company. They have put in many hours of dedication and deserve any and all recognition for this service.

Public Comment:

John Phillips mentioned that the days of the flooding people worked well together. Items to be considered to help with similar events would be a situation board, radios and a way for people in the station to reach those out in the field.

Maureen Weir suggested a grant be written for such equipment.

Paul Poulas discussed a desire to see if we could do something to prevent the former Fire Department from collecting funds (donations) that are meant for the new fie company.

Jim Wolff requested that the commissioners pursue the recovery of the assets of the Fire District.

Mark Weir mentioned that one and a half years ago he started a campaign and is very happy with what came from it.

Betty Staffin said she wanted to thank the new fire Company from the bottom of her heart for all the help when her and her husbands home and business were flooded.

A motion by Wolf Merk, second by Margaret Wolff adjourned the meeting at 8:40PM.

Respectfully Submitted,

Claire Kepner
