A Special Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Otsego was held on the 23rd day of February, 2006 at the Town Building, Fly Creek, NY at 7:00 PM.

Those present were:

Thomas Breiten Chairman

Orlo Burch Councilman

Ann Geddes-Atwell Councilman

John Schallert Councilman

Meg Kiernan Councilman

Others Present:

Pamela Deane Town Clerk

Chairman Breiten called the meeting to order.

Chairman Breiten explained that this special meeting was scheduled in order for the Town Board to interview canadates applying for either the Highway Superintendent or Zoning Enforcement Officer positions.

MOTION by Councilman Burch, seconded by Councilman Kiernan, to conduct the interviews in Executive Session.

MOTION CARRIED: Chairman Breiten and all Councilmen voted aye.

The following people were interviewed for the following positions:

Zoning Enforcement Officer: Jane Couch, Mike Miller, and Bill Kitchen

Highway Superintendent: Alton Van Cleef, Bryan Pernat, and Tom Steele

MOTION by Councilman Geddes-Atwell, seconded by Councilman Schallert, to come out of Executive Session.

MOTION CARRIED: Chairman Breiten and all Councilmen voted aye.

MOTION by Councilman Kiernan, seconded by Councilman Geddes-Atwell, to appoint Bryan Pernat Highway Superintendent.

MOTION CARRIED: Chairman Breiten and all Councilmen voted aye.

Chairman Breiten informed Bryan that former Highway Superintendent Louie Boyd and Councilman Burch have both offered to help him with any problems he may encounter.

Councilman Burch announced that he will send out a Request for Proposals to be due before the April 12^th meeting for a Town Accountant

MOTION by Councilman Geddes-Atwell to adjourn.

MOTION CARRIED: Chairman Breiten and all Councilmen voted aye.
