An Organizational Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Otsego was held on the 2nd day of January, 2007 at the Town Building, Fly Creek, NY at 5:30 PM.

Those present were:

Thomas Breiten Chairman

Joseph Potrikus Councilman

John Schallert Councilman

Meg Kiernan Councilman

Anne Geddes-Atwell Councilman

Others Present:

Chairman Breiten called meeting to order.

MOTION by Councilman Schallert, seconded by Councilman, Geddes-Atwell, to go into Executive Session to discuss matters of personnel.

MOTION CARRIED: Chairman Breiten and all Councilmen voted aye.

MOTION by Councilman Potrikus, seconded by Councilman Kiernan, to come out of Executive Session.

MOTION CARRIED: Chairman Breiten and all Councilmen voted aye.

MOTION by Councilman Kiernan, seconded by Councilman Potrikus, to approve the following appointments:

Deputy Supervisor – Meg Kiernan

Bookkeeper/Confidential Secretary – Dora Cooke

Accountant – Gruver, Zweifel & Scott, LLP

Town Attorney – Martin Tillapaugh

Planning Board Attorney – James Ferrari

Planning Board Chairman – Paul Lord

Zoning Board Chairman- Greg Crowell

Watershed Supervisory Committee – Meg Kiernan

Board of Ethics- Meg Kiernan, Orlo Burch, Carl Wenner and Sheila Ross

Town Historian – Tom Heitz

Zoning Officer – Mike Miller

Registrar Vital Statistics – Cooperstown Village Clerk

Town Engineer – Wayne Bunn

Dog Control Officer – Tom Steele

Bank Depositories – Wilber National Bank, NBT and MBIA

Official Newspapers – The Daily Star, Cooperstown Crier, and Freeman’s Journal.

Polling Places – Cooperstown Fire Hall and Otsego Town Building

Meeting Date – Second Wednesday of each month

Mileage Reimbursement – 40 cents/mile

MOTION CARRIED: Chairman Breiten and all Councilmen voted aye.

Chairman Breiten reviewed with the Board at great lengths specific budget line items.

The Town Clerk was directed to advertise for letters of interest for the following Boards and/or position. Board of Assessment Review, Board of Ethics Committee, and Planning Board/ZBA Clerk.

The Board decided to conduct interviews for various positions at 5:30 PM on January 10^th before their regular meeting.

MOTION by Councilman Potrikus to adjourn.

MOTION CARRIED: Chairman Breiten and all Councilmen voted aye.
